Finally, the big announcement for the day, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology for the PSP. Details weren't provided, but the game is set for release in 2007, prior to the March 31st end of the fiscal year. The PSP, not to be outdone, will see a port of Tales of Destiny 2. No details were provided on the new system. The original PlayStation version had a character chat system known as the Active Party Window, where the characters would chat amongst themselves as you adventured.
The game will also include a brand new chat system, something that's completely new to the series. The dialogue for the main scenario has been rewritten, and promises greater depth for the storyline. The PlayStation version's Enhanced Linear Motion Battle System (E-LMBS), is being replaced with a new system, although details weren't provided. Tales of Destiny is coming to the PS2 in full 3D, with a release planned for Winter. Phantasia isn't the only Tales game being remade. A Japanese release for Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition is set for September 7. As part of this system, once you clear the game and start a new game using the clear save data, you're given a "grade" which can be used to purchase various bonuses. The game will also include the Grade Shop system from more recent Tales titles. Bandai Namco is also adding all the bonus elements that were found in the PlayStation and Game Boy Advance remakes and the ability to load from anywhere on your quest, including towns and dungeons.
As the title suggests, the PSP version will include full voice.
Set for release first is Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition, a PSP version of the 1995 Super Famicom Tales debut title, Tales of Phantasia.
